French literature presents a chance to learn about their feelings in a deep manner, that which cannot be told in a better manner by any other means. The influence of French literature in the history of France cannot be downplayed since that effect is seen to date. This is because the French are a literate lot who derive their pleasure in questions of language and exploring ideas. The middle ages

French language evolved from the renowned Vulgar Latin which came as a result of the occupancy of the Romanians in West Europe. The intellectual life of the larger Europe has been preserve of the French for a considerable period of time. It is believed that French literature was born out of the Roman dialects that used to be spoken in the larger Roman Empire, and this would later be named the modern day France. By the tenth century, popular use of the dialect made it possible for the French literature to be born, and the evolution of some of phenomenal poems was imminent and unavoidable. These poems carried the name CHANSONS DE GESTE, and they told of the great awakening of the French literature and consciousness of the nation as a whole.

The rise of the French network and literal prowess gave rise to the exceptional exchanges of content among the western countries. This was almost eroding the strong literature that France was in the process of making. As a result of this, France developed its own strong and distinct literature culture that has held on till today.

15th to 16th century

Literature renaissance in France came into being in the 15th and 16th century. Even though the evolution of France literature has been under influence from some of the strongest literature authors, the nation has defended its literature prowess so jealously in such a manner that it has been labeled as one of the best in the globe. Some of the best academicians and literature scholars were born in the 17th century. Some of the famous names in that time were Moliere, Pierre Corneille, and Marie-Madeleine among other giants in the literature field.

These strong writers have various differences in their expression of literature, interests, and attitudes. French literature is no doubt a force to reckon with even in the contemporary world. New trends have risen among them being the Napoleonic era and revolution in French literature.
